Details of the Collision
The tragic incident unfolded when a commercial minibus, reportedly transporting passengers from Kumasi to Wenchi for the Eid celebrations, collided head-on with a cargo truck traveling in the opposite direction from Techiman toward Kumasi. According to Akomadan District Police Commander DSP Paul Boabeng Donkor, preliminary investigations indicate that the driver of the minibus attempted a dangerous overtaking maneuver, veering directly into the path of the oncoming trailer.
